Last night I had the opportunity to attend the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Expo, which was a smorgasboard of gear vendors, resort destinations, and ski companies all in one huge convention center.
Inside, there also happened to be an indoor skateboard park set up for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
I only had one destination in mind, though. The shopping area!
There were people and discount racks EVERYWHERE, but luckily there were also tons of super helpful ski experts around to help me with all of my selections. I made off like a BANDIT.

My new skis!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ended up with the K2 True Luv skis from last year, which were a bestseller among intermediate ladies, and I can’t even express to you how much I love them already. They are BEAUTIFUL. I am SO PUMPED to get out there and ROCK them with my totally fly outfit.
Yes, I’m going to be so fly with my gear.

Super comfortable (and sparkly!!!) boots!

These Atomic LF 70 boots are really very comfortable, and what I’ve learned is that skiing becomes a whole different sport once you’re in boots that really fit. I can’t wait to take my gear out and see how it all feels! I’m PUMPED!!!!
Gosh, new toys are the BEST.
Later that night, silliness ensued.
How could I resist? It’s poutine!!!
Ugh, it’s been a bad eating few days….
Breakfast this morning took place at a great spot in my neighborhood called El Camino.
Yum, this place was so tasty tasty. I LOVE huevos rancheros, and this version of the dish did not disappoint.
After breakfast, I headed out to the lovely suburb [read: ew] of Arvada because I wanted to get my bindings installed on my skis.
Colorado Ski & Golf made another appearance in my new life, this time at a different location. I don’t know when I turned into a ski fanatic, but it really seems like I’m going overboard here (hah, no pun intended!). I’m just so excited about hitting the slopes with new friends and my new gear, I can’t contain myself! While those were being installed, I visited a few nearby spots.
There was a mani/pedi thrown in there, too.
Today was a bit gray and gloomy and far too carby, but productive and full anyway. Right now, I’m getting ready to head to an art opening with a few girlfriends, then to a party, then hopefully somewhere where I can DANCE.
Yes, that has to happen.
I also want to give a shout out to my girl, Tori, who received some outstanding news today, and I want the world to know. I love you Tori, and I’m so damn proud!!!!!!!
I wish you all excellent Saturday nights! xoxo

THANK YOU!!! for the lovely thoughts
Love you!!
